JOURNEY AS STUDENT INFORMATION MANAGEMENT - REFLECTIVE WRITING

HELLO WASUPPP GUYSS!!πŸ’‹πŸ˜˜

I'd like to introduce myself; my name is Crisney Ida Anak Dik, and I'm extremely pleased to share my experience on this course with you. I studied Information Management Diploma for two and a half years at Universiti Teknologi Mara Samarahan Campus in Sarawak, which comprises of five semesters. The program's main purpose is to address the demand for knowledge and information workers, which is critical to the information business. Technology applications, information management, information communication, and information literacy are taught to graduates. This is the first time I've created my own BlogSpot because I've never utilized it in my everyday life before HAHA. We all are aware that when students have time on their hands, they are hesitant to visit any kind of website. For example, I am. To be truthful, I am extremely unwilling to learn about the websites that are now accessible thru the internet platform, but what can I do because the course I did taught me to learn about all the websites that are available. I'm not the type of person that will try anything new to learn.

First and foremost, I was taught by Madam Nurfaizah, who has been teaching me since my first semester at UiTM, which is known as Introduction to Information Skills (IMD111). Madam Nurfaizah is a very hilarious and happy-go-lucky person HAHAHAHAH. Presently, let's go back to the story to tell. Madam Nurfaizah is likewise a very pleasant woman. Her teaching style, humor, and engaging traits were appreciated, and quizzes were used to check our comprehension of the topic. As an IM student, I was astounded to hear about these programs and libraries' efforts to provide users with helpful services. These apps and libraries sought to improve the whole user experience rather than simply giving information. They worked hard to make obtaining and utilizing their services as simple as possible by incorporating interactive elements and user-friendly interfaces. As an IM student, this not only amazed me, but it also helped me respect the work done to create important tools for users in the digital world.

This semester, I had the opportunity to study about the course References and Information Services for Information Agencies (IMD312), which was lectured on by Madam Nurfaizah. This course is taught about Reference and information services are fundamental to library operations and serve as the public face of information access. In a complex and information-rich environment, these services are critical because they allow library users to obtain material in an efficient and correct manner. Librarians and library professionals are the most valuable assets of libraries. Reference services, in particular, enable consumers traverse the complex information environment with the assistance of specialists specialized in obtaining and assessing information. Reference librarians do not discriminate against individual users or their information requirements since they adhere to key library ideals such as freedom of inquiry and freedom of access. The first chapter that I had previously learned introduced me to information services. What I understand about this topic is that library services include direct personal assistance, directories, signage, the exchange of information gathered from reference sources, reader's advisory service, the transmission of information in anticipation of user need or interest, and access to electronic information. Topic 3 is my most favorite topic that I have learned. This is because I have a lot of experience evaluating things on this issue. The purpose of this review is to enhance services that manage people and physical resources effectively and efficiently. Overall, the topics in this course are definitely encouraging me in terms of my final test grade. But that's okay; I'll do my best to get the highest grade possible in this final semester. Will be superior to previous attempts.

It is not simple to learn information management in this course. The information management course requires us to think critically and use our knowledge in real-world circumstances. It necessitates a thorough comprehension of complicated topics as well as the ability to efficiently evaluate data. The training on references and information services for information agencies, for example. There are 12 topics covered in this course. Furthermore, the course highlights the need of remaining current on developing technologies and trends in the area in order to maintain successful information management practices.

Finally, I'm hoping to obtain a higher grade this semester than I did last. This is particularly difficult for me because it is my final semester. So I have to give it 100% of myself.

Alright, that’s all from me.πŸ‘‹

ARIGATO!!😎
